We're Hosting an Obvious Child Screening with Jenny Slate and Director Gillian Robespierre.
Listen up, movie lovers: Central Track has teamed up with A24 to present an advance screening of the feel-good abortion movie of the year, Obvious Child on Thursday, June 12, at 7:30 p.m. at the Angelika in Dallas.
And that's pretty great news, since we saw the film at Sundance and then again at the Dallas International Film Festival and loved it both times. Check out the trailer and I think you'll see why we're so smitten.
Yup, star Jenny Slate (Saturday Nigh Live, Kroll Show, Marcel The Shell With Shoes On) is a goddamn natural, folks.
And you wanna hear something cool? She'll be in attendance at our screening, along with Obvious Child's writer and director, Gillian Robespierre> Together, those two will participate in a Q&A about the film following the screening.
Want to join us at the screening? OK, here's what you need to do: Shoot an RSVP email to [email protected] with “Central Track/Obvious Child” in the subject line and your full name in the body of the email. Then head here and print out your pass, which you'll need to bring with you to get into the screening itself.
Rules: You must be at least 17 years of age to attend. No purchase is necessary. Please note that this RSVP does not guarantee entry. Seating at the screening is limited to theater capacity on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. We intentionally overbook these screenings to ensure a full house. This means that there are at least twice as many RSVPs than there are seats. This is a necessity, as many people that RSVP do not show up for the screening. This is why it is essential to arrive early. So do it.
