Lest There Was Any Doubt: A New Video Confirms That 35 Denton Will Officially Return in 2015.
Back when we posted a quick look at eight music festivals to look forward to in the coming months, you may have noticed that one notable festival from years past was absent in our rundown.
But, alas, there will be no 35 Denton in 2014.
Still, even after losing its creative director, its top talent buyer and its main financial back seemingly all at once last summer, 35 Denton founder Chris Flemmons assured us: The festival would find some way to continue — but not until at least 2015.
To date, we've taken Flemmons' word for it. Hey, it's not like we've never had a reason to doubt his never-say-die attitude. But, on the other hand, it's not like we'd heard any new news on that front lately, either.
Well, if nothing else, a newly uploaded video to the official 35 Denton Vimeo page this week seems to point to the fact that next year's festival is now 100 percent officially a go. In fact, there's more than just that: Flemmons and Co. are so confident in the festival's impending reemergence that they even plan to begin selling blind presale tickets to 35 Denton '15 during a February 14 showcase as part of this year's Thin Line Festival.
Good news, indeed.
