Madison King Doesn't Want To Write Crappy Country Songs.
Welcome to Live at Malone Pictures, a new collaborative video project we've now embarked upon alongside our pals at Deep Ellum video production house Malone Pictures. For more clips from the LAMP crew, check out — and subscribe — to the series' Youtube page.
If you've ever been to Deep Ellum, you're probably at least somewhat aware of Dallas country-folk powerhouse Madison King, if only subconsciously.
Even if you haven't, say, caught one of her fiery performances — like the one she put on at Trees earlier his month during the Have a Heart benefit — you've almost certainly walked past the giant mural of her mug on your way to Twilite Lounge, where she's long tended bar.
In any case, you've probably never quite taken as intimate look at King as our friends at Malone Pictures did in their latest edition of “Live at Malone Pictures,” which centers around King and can be found in full below.
Whether you're only now hearing her music for the first time or you're just here for the gorgeously shot, up-close and personal take, it's probably about time we all got a bit more familiar with her work. Like King confesses in the clip, she's just trying to write good country songs — because, in her eyes, that's something that's been lacking lately.
Can't argue with her there.
