Parade of Flesh Announces New Home, 11 Bands for Rebranded Bro Fest Affair.
With the folks up at 35 Denton now some 50 bands deep into announcing the full lineup for their adored, March affair that benefits greatly from South by Southwest spillover, you had to figure that word from Parade of Flesh's John Iskander about his similarly March-hosted, spillover-induced (and, yes, adored) offering was right around the corner.
And, well, it is. Right now, in fact. This morning, Iskander passes along to us a single announcement that makes, by our count, three big reveals.
1. His annual post-SXSW affair, once known as South by South Flesh and most recently dubbed Bro Fest, will return on Sunday, March 17. It will be known now as “Spillover.” Clever, eh? Says Iskander of the name change when we berated him for it: “I'm just tired of the word 'bro.' I think prevented certain close-minded people from seeing what I'm bringing through.” That's a real quote, just so we're clear.
2. This year, the affair will have a new home — an all-outside one, it seems — as it's being hosted by Iskander's partners-in-crime over at Sandbar Cantina. Dig? (It's a volleyball term.)
3. This year's solid early-announced bill already has 11 confirms. Among the included thus far: Black Tusk, Broncho, Jaill, Nobunny, Single Mothers, White Mystery, Zechs Marquise and a “mystery guests.” So, 10 confirms.
Looks to be another fun one, for sure. Find out more information, including the full bill to date and the price for tickets bout in advance (spoiler: $19.99 after fees), by clicking here.
