Check Out The Trailer For Parkland, Tom Hanks' Film About The Kennedy Assassination.
Right around this same time last year, we told you that Tom Hanks was working on a new film called Parkland, which plans to tell the tales of the smaller, seemingly insignificant people involved in the circumstances surrounding in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy here in Dallas nearly 50 years ago.
Well, now we know significantly more about the film — like, say, the cast, which is something of a batshit Who's Who of Hollywood set to feature the likes of Zac Efron, Billy Bob Thornton, Marcia Gay Harden, Ron Livingston, Jackie Earle Haley, and Paul Giamatti. And, according to IMDB, The League's Mark Duplass, The Newsroom's David Harbour, The Pacific's James Badge Dale, Smallville's Tom Welling, Empire Records' Rory Cochrane and, yes, even Tom's son Colin Hanks are all set to appear in the film in various other roles. Good thing, too: Since it's not exactly like we don't know what happened here, it better be well-acted.
Kinda seems like it will be, too. And we know this because, hey, we have a trailer! And, from the looks of it, some of the movie even did get filmed here! In the trailer, you'll spot such noted settings as Dealey Plaza, the Texas School Book Depository and the Dallas Municipal Court building, which itself has been the setting of another film shoot entirely in recent weeks.
Anyway, you can check out the trailer below. The film is currently slated for a September 20 release.
