Erykah Badu Crashes New York News Broadcast, Remains The Absolute Coolest.

Oh, Erykah Badu.

How you never fail to inspire, entertain, intrigue and surprise us all. You wonderful, wonderful woman, you.

Once again, this past Friday afternoon, the Dallas-dwelling icon reminded us of the incomparable woman that she is. With a huge, white smile and an equally huge white hat, she managed to crash a live report on Shia LaBeouf’s recent arrest from New York TV station PIX11's Mario Diaz.

After several jubilant strolls back and forth behind the reporter and an overtly sexual hand gesture, Badu boldly — and very confidently — approached Diaz with arms open and lips puckered, ready to give him a wet one right on his cheek. Alas, the curmudgeon nudged Badu away with an ever-so-polite “excuse me” and finished his report.

Social media types immediately recognized the famous face, though. And after initially denying the encounter, Badu finally fessed up to being the kissing culprit with a simple “sorry Mario :-)))))” statement on Twitter.

Pretty awesome, right?

From stripping down to her bare necessities and roaming the streets of Dallas to crashing live news broadcasts, Badu clearly knows no social bounds.

And we love her for it.

Gotta ask, though: What will she surprise us with next? Will it be another act of pseudo-sexual harassment? Will she get away with it? Is she in a hat-off with Pharrell?
