Forever The Sickest Kids' Jonathan Cook Was Arrested For Selling Fake Watches.

Seems there's only so much money to be had in pop-punk kinda-stardom: Jonathan Cook, frontman of the Selena Gomez-collaborating, Dallas-based, mall-punk outfit Forever The Sickest Kids, recently issued a public apology after having been arrested for selling counterfeit Rolex watches on Craigslist.

Yeesh.

“I am now aware of the financial harm that the distribution of counterfeit property can cause to others, and that this activity is a very serious matter with serious consequences,” his statement read in part.

Actually, it seems those consequences are quite serious: This morning, Eric Nicholson of the Dallas Observer reports that, although criminal charges against Cook have since been dropped, the singer is now being sued b Rolex — to the tune of the watch company seeking as much as $70 million in damages.

Double yeesh.

Guess Cook better hope his band's new album, J.A.C.K., which is due out on Fearless Records on June 25, sells really well, huh? Otherwise, we can't imagine where a dude who's been selling counterfeit watches on the side is gong to find that kind of cash.
