On Sunday, June 10, Let's Rage Together At The Double Wide.
Now that the calendar has turned to June, this here website is about to reach a pretty significant milestone. That's right: We're about to turn four months old. In the world of Internet start-ups, that's nothing to shake your head at. So, yeah, we're pretty proud of our accomplishment. We're so proud, in fact, that we're going to celebrate it. And, of course, we want you to join us in doing so.
Here's the plan: On Sunday, June 10, we're going to be crashing the Double Wide with a few of our friends. You might know some of them.
Local rapper and producer extraordinaire Blue of Brain Gang will be there, rapping and getting everyone all hyped up. The electronic-inclined mindblowers in Analog Rebellion will perform, too. So will the ridiculously great bar-rockers in Quaker City Night Hawks. Meanwhile, John Kirtland, CEO of Kirtlland Records, will be spinning vinyl. Easy Slider Truck and Rockstar Bakeshop will be on-site, as well.
There might be other stuff, too. We're still figuring out all details.
This much, however, is for sure: This party is free to attend and things will kick off at 10 p.m.
All we ask is that, if you feel so inclined, maybe you wear a pair of jorts to the affair. No real pressure and no real reason why. We just genuinely like jorts. (You may have noticed the Star Wars-based lead-in image to this article, which features Luke and Leia wearing jorts. It's part of an in-progress poster we're designing for the affair.)
And yet, as much as we enjoy a good pair of jorts, we want you, our readers, to know that we like you all even more. We want you to know that you're appreciated.
We'll be celebrating turning out four months old at this affair, sure. But — to be clear here — we'll also be celebrating you guys. It may sound like a cliche, but it's completely true: Without your support, we're nothing.
So come rage with us, yeah?
We'll see you on the 10th.
