Latest 35 Denton Additions Include Solange Knowles and Camera Obscura.
On Sunday night, about an hour and a half after her dazzling halftime performance during the Super Bowl, Beyonce announced the dates for her 2013 world tour. That tour — dubbed the “Mrs. Carter” tour, somewhat epically — will find Queen Bey performing in Dallas at the American Airlines Center on Saturday, July 6. Tickets for that no doubt highly anticipated show will go on sale on Monday, February 11, at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.
Not to be outdone, the folks at 35 Denton have a Knowles family-related announcement of their own this week: Moments ago, the Denton festival, set to take place on March 7 though 10, announced as part of its latest lineup reveal that it has confirmed Beyonce's little sister, Solange Knowles as a headliner for their own event.
Joining Solange, who just released an EP of her own called True in late 2012, as part of this latest announcement round: Camera Obscura, Man Man, Com Truise, The Cannabinoids featuring Sarah Jaffe, Born Ruffians, True Widow and Video, among others.
And, per usual, this announcement round comes with a new video, this one featuring Jaffe covering Knowles' lead True single, “Losing You.” Check out the announcement clip in full below, then keep scrolling down for ticket information and the full confirmed 35 Denton bill to date.
Wristbands for the four-day event are now starting at $45 a pop and are available here.
