On Pepe The Frog, Food Pyramid Conspiracies and Why Colin Powell Is Throwing Shade At Bill Clinton.
If you’re a listener of KTCK 1310-AM or 96.7-FM, you probably feel like you already know TC Fleming and Jake Kemp well. And if you’re not a listener of The Ticket? Well, whatever. You’re about to get real familiar with these two just the same through their own channel of this podcast called It’s Just Banter. Wanna hear past episodes? You can check out IJB’s archives here and on our Soundcloud page. Wanna subscribe to the podcast on iTunes? Do so here.
Just in the spirit of honesty, I will tell you this podcast starts out with a solid five minutes of talk about the 2016 Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team. I know there’s not of a lot of direct interest about that within our listening audience but they’re all I think about during the fall (and winter and spring and summer), so a little time carved out for them seems appropriate to me, at least.
But we get that out of the way quick, I promise.
From there, Jake was exposed to some conspiracy talk while taking in a concert in New Orleans. Turns out the food pyramid is maybe not what you think it is? That, naturally, leads to a brief explanation of Pepe The Frog’s place in the current political discourse online. So if you’ve been asking yourself about that, there you go.
Lastly, we share this week some very important updates to some big IJB topics — driverless cars and Bill Clinton’s sex life. As the former is concerned, the government is now establishing regulations. As the latter goes, Colin Powell is needlessly tossing rumors around left and right.
