I mostly regret to inform you, dear listener, that Jake and I have not let go of our focus on the great lengths that some misguided teens go to in order to save themselves for marriage. To that end, this week’s episode starts off with Jake providing some fact-checking on the fabled “white couch story.” Does that result in “the worst 10 minutes we’ve ever done,” as Jake announces after the fact? Maybe! But don’t you want to find out what would make him say that?
Of course you do! I know this because I now live in the future. That’s right: I bit the bullet and bought a cheap virtual reality headset off the internet. After mentioning VR briefly last time, a few helpful listeners sent some articles along to me about where VR is at. Upon getting schooled, I took the plunge. Now I am here to tell you that VR — and specifically VR porn — is absolutely going to change all of our lives.
Perhaps fittingly, our discussion from there turns to the topic of prisons and what the purpose of the criminal justice system should be. We found a story that provides some really good grounds for laying out a hypothetical question about what we should be trying to do with the unstable folk among us. — TC Fleming
