Time To Get Excited About The 2013 Oak Cliff Film Festival.
We're about a month off from the kickoff of the second annual Oak Cliff Film Festival, which will run from June 6 through June 9 this year. But information on the affair is, at this point, fairly scant.
Really, we only know a few things.
We know, perhaps most importantly, that it's happening. We also think know which venues are participating, assuming this link is up to date. And, lastly, thanks to this post on TwitchFilm, we know that Bobcat Goldthwaite's found-footage Bigfoot film, Willow Creek, will be among the films screened at this year's affair.
Thing is, we don't really need to know much more than that to get excited for this year's festival. The new bumper trailer for the OCFF, although similarly offering very little information about the deal, does a fine job of upping our anticipation on its own.
Directed by the Texas Theatre's Jason Reimer, one of the festival co-organizers, and starring a plethora of familiar local faces, the Revolutionary-War-cum-paintball-party clip is a visual splendor that tickles most all of our fancies. The score for the clip, performed by Baptist Generals member Reimer, plus his bandmate Jeff Ryan and Mind Spiders' Mark Ryan (no relation, at least I don't think), is also fairly choice in a very Drive sort of way.
Anyway, give the teaser clip a watch below and you'll see why information is a moot point as far as OCFF excitement goes at this point in the game.
