The Humans and Dogs of Homegrown.
Can we talk for just a second about the great times we had at this year's fifth annual Homegrown Music and Arts Festival? Oh, we already did?
Well, OK.
But that earlier take on the fest mostly focused on the music. And not to be discounted in the formula for Homegrown's greatness is the crowds that attend it. The people of all-ages — seriously, Homegrown is maybe the one event in town each year that really combines good times and family-friendly concepts right — and the furry friends that joined them only increased the fun factor.
There's just something about this affair that, year after year, gets Dallasites in great moods. And, whatever that thing is, it's awesome.

Then start daydreaming of next year's Homegrown, I suppose. Hey, it's never too early.
