Datahowler and The Spree's Jessica Jordan Team Up For a Fresh Prince Groove, Slightly Transform
Here's your daily dose of awesome: Electronic soundscaper Datahowler and Polyphonic Spree vocalist Jessica Jordan (also the owner of Super Yoga Palace) have teamed up under the My Name Is Moses moniker to created a spaced-out cover of the DJ Jazzy Jeff and Fresh Prince superjam, “Summertime.”
Check out the video at the end of this post to hear it — or head here to download the track for free (for a limited time).
It's a pretty great rendition, helped along no doubt by the song's other two contributors, Polyphonic Spree cellist Buffi Jacobs and New Fumes' Daniel Huffman.
Says Jordan of the song, which was recorded on a laptop and a borrowed mic: “'Summertime' represents more [than] the inaugural track of music to come, but a fusion of heart-rooted friendships.”
Awwwwwwwwwww. Doesn't it, though?
