Featuring A One-Time Collaboration Between Sealion And Blue The Misfit, Among Other Killer Musicians And Treats, It’s Gonna Be A Rager!

You should definitely already know about this, but here’s a quick reminder just the same: This Saturday, April 8, we’re taking over the friendly confines of the Double Wide over there on the easternmost edge of Deep Ellum and throwing a little celebration over the fact that this here website just recently turned *holds up five fingers* this many years old.

Pretty rad, right?

Well, please allow us to briefly expand on what all this will entail. For starters, we’d be remiss if we did spend a little time up front hyping our special headlining at this party — a special one-off act called Bluelion in which Dallas music luminaries Sealion and Blue, The Misfit will team up for a punk rock and hip-hop hybrid the likes of which this city has never seen before. These acts have been regularly rehearsing together specifically for this show for almost two months now, and we couldn’t be more excited to see the fruits of their labor.

We’re also pretty stoked on the other acts we’ve performing in the venue space as part of this event — three of the Dallas-based acts we’re most stoked on of late, including the riot grrrl punk trio Lizzie Boredom, revered Dallas rapper Bobby Sessions and the hip-hop-meets-gospel hybrid Medicine Man.

And that’s not all! In the past few weeks, we’ve also added DJs Jus Stone and Ursa Minor into the mix, to keep things moving across the entire Double Wide space. Additionally, we recently confirmed that the homies at Easy Slider will be setting up their truck and slinging burgers out in the parking lot, and that our pals at The Foto Booth will be setting up a photobooth the patio area so that you may cherish the memories you make on this night forever.

Not bad for a $5 entrance fee, we’d say.
