Fellas: Let Bonobos' New Henderson Avenue Guideshop Do The Clothes-Fitting Dirty Work For You.
If you're a male with even the slightest taste for fashion — or just well-fitting clothes in general — you've probably heard of Bonobos, the largest Internet-launched brand in the U.S. And, if you have, you'll probably be more than pleased to hear that the brand has finally made its way to Dallas.
“Wait,” you're probably wondering right now. “Isn't it an online store?”
Well, yes, technically it is. But after seeing so much success with the initial online store, Bonobos founder Andy Dunn has started looking for a more hands-on way for his buyers to make purchases.
“Business online was so successful we saw a tremendous fan-base from it,” Bonobos spokesperson Erin Grant says. “Andy was loving interacting with the customers, and what we were hearing from a lot of customers is they want to try things on.”
Hence the company's latest initiative — guideshops — which aim to eliminate all of your least favorite parts of shopping and make the prospect of finding “on-trend but not necessarily trendy” menswear an easy one.
Tomorrow, the first Bonobos guideshop comes to Dallas with a new storefront at 1901 North Henderson Avenue that promises shoppers one-on-one, by-appointment sessions with trained style experts who'll walk clients through an assortment of Bonobos garments and help them find their ideal sizes and fits before ordering clothes to arrive at their doorsteps in a few days.
“Men are caring a lot more about how they look and about how they appear to other people, which is a good thing,” says Grant. “Women definitely like that. So it's a much better aspect for everyone involved.”
