Brand New and Cold War Kids Top AEG Live's Initial Pegasus Music Festival Bill.
Ever since we first caught wind that AEG Live would be launching its Pegasus Music Festival this summer, we've been wondering: Just what niche would North Texas' latest entry into the music festival game be aiming to fill.
Well, now, with the release of this morning's lineup announcement, it's safe to say that Pegasus' inaugural offering will be a decidedly emo-filled affair.
Headlined by Long Island emo outfit Brand New, the June 21 festival at the Verizon Theatre will also feature performances from Cold War Kids, Circa Survive and Bad Books, as well as a PMtoday reunion performance.
Tickets will go on sale this Friday, February 21 — the same day, it's worth noting, as when tickets go on sale to go see Morrissey at the Majestic — and can be purchased here.
Oh, and since we're talking about festivals: KXT's Summer Cut and Spune's Index Fest each recently announced dates for their third annual offerings. The three-day Index Fest will take place September 26 through 28, and Summer Cut will go down August 15. Also, the fifth annual Homegrown Fest, which we know will be headlined by Toadies, will makes its second round of lineup announcements tomorrow morning.
