Here's A New, Not-Good Dallas Cowboys Anthem To Rock Out To Before Sunday's Playoff Game.
Looking for a song to jam while getting ready for Sunday's Dallas Cowboys playoff game at AT&T Stadium against the Detroit Lions, but afraid that Wiz Khalifa's “We Dem Boyz” is just a bit too Pittsburgh-y? Lucky for you, Dallas singer Jordan Layne — who you may know from, well, nothing yet, as this is the very first song she's posted to her Soundcloud page — is here, hoping to help.
On New Year's Eve, Layne unleashed a new track called “Rowdy” onto the world. Check it out.
Well, then.
On the other hand: Hey, free download!
Per the email her mom is sending around to Dallas radio stations in hopes of this track getting airtime, Layne is “a local girl born in Dallas living in Preston Hollow and is being groomed as the next 'it” girl to hit the music scene this year.” And with lyrics like this one — bruh, she rhymes “rowdy” with “rowdy” — who could argue to contrary?
Shout out to our pals Sean Bass and Jake Kemp of KTCK-AM The Ticket's “The Shake Joint” for passing this our way after playing it on the air this afternoon. We think Bass in particular summed the Nashville country-aping track up quite well with his own on-air critique of it.
Said Bass: “It sounds… expensive.”
Mmm-hmm.
Anyway, you can expect more from Layne in the next two months — that's what her mom says is in the works.
Can't. Wait.
