Announcing The 2013 Deep Ellum Big Folkin' Festival Lineup.

In the wake of all of yesterday's spring festival news comes — get this — the fifth announcement of this sort that we've reported on so far this week. Nonetheless, yes, The Deep Ellum Big Folkin' Festival is scheduled to return to the Prophet Bar for its second straight run on Saturday, March 30.

Don't let the fest's name fool you, though. Organizers have already made the disclaimer that bands included on this year's lineup are only “folk-influenced;” and, to be sure, some bands on the bill are certainly more “influenced” in this regard than others.

Quaker City Night Hawks and RTB2, for instance, should help ensure this year's incarnation is pretty folkin' loud.

Dammit.

We promised ourselves we weren't going to use any folkin' puns.
