Day 18: Deep Fried Oreo Cookies.
These puppies hit the State Fair circuit just one year shy of the start of Big Tex Choice awards, so they never won a real title. But one could argue that they're the food that ignited the fried foods craze at the Fair in the first place.
What is it? An Oreo cookie battered, deep fried and covered in powdered sugar.
Where can you find it? Deep in the heart of the Midway. Right near the Kiddie Corral.
How much is it? 8 tickets (the equivalent to $4).
