Scenes From Last Night's Sold-Out Amanda Palmer Show At Granada Theater.
Amanda Palmer fans aren't quite like those of any other artist. When she asks them for money to make a new album? They break online crowd-funding records. When she needs them to join her band on stage? They oblige. When she needs some art drawn on her body? They show up ready, Sharpies in hand.
And while each of these things has drawn heaps of criticism from grumpy fucks in the industry and fellow mid-level musicians alike, none of that backlash has appeared to effect Palmer much. Nor has it put any type of dent into her fans' fervent support of her efforts.
So it was to be expected that there would be plenty of meeting and greeting between Palmer and her fans as the noted musician, speaker, blogger, renaissance woman extraordinaire performed in front of sold-out crowd at the Granada last night. Hey, it just comes with the territory. Her fans love her, and she loves them right back.
Lucky us, then, that photographer Allan Hayslip was on hand to visually capture that lovefest for posterity. Check out his snaps below,
