You Have To See Your Creepy Uncle Mitch on Thursday? Ew.
Situation: Thursday is the day of Thanks, which means you have too see all of your relatives at one time, in one home, for a whole day. Yes, even your weirdo Uncle Mitch.
Feelings: Uneasy. Anxious. A little creeped out.
Goal: Calm yourself down a bit. It's just one day out of the whole year. You've just got to get through it. You'll be fine.
Listen: We all have an Uncle Mitch. That guy who, since you were 12 years old, has tried to get you to smoke pot with him at every family event. We know that doesn't seem too bad, but no one can actually say what it is that Uncle Mitch does for a living. He's just a weird dude. And it's just an awkward situation.
In other words: We don't blame you if you're not looking forward to Thursday. But you've got to gear up for it anyway and put on a smile or your mom will never forgive you.
So, at this moment, you probably need to do something to take your mind off of any and all family-related stress. Maybe a taste of something you've never had before? Something that will confuse and please your palate to such an extent that you forget all about the Uncle Mitches and Aunt Heahers and Cousin Bobs of the world.
Some Chocolate Pecan-Covered Potato Chips should do it!
Ingredients: potato chips, chocolate sauce, pecans, powdered sugar
Directions:
1. Pour potato chips into a bowl.
2. Drizzle chocolate sauce on top of the chips.
3. Sprinkle the chip bowl powdered sugar.
4. Top the whole thing with chopped pecans.
5. Enjoy!
This should absolutely do the trick. And, as we said before, remember: It's just one day.
