Oh, No. You Didn't Get That Job You Wanted?
Situation: You just found out that after three interviews and four trips to T.J.Maxx in search of the perfect power suit, you didn't get that job you've been after. Bummer, dude.
Feelings: Rejected, sad, disappointed.
Goal: You want to pick yourself up and bring that self-esteem back to its normal, slightly above-average state There are tons of jobs out there. Well, OK, there are several. Several!
I know you're disappointed, but, listen, the world isn't ending. Not yet, anyway. A sweet little stack of red velvet pancakes will give you just the boost you need. Plus, they're surprisingly easy to make. Not surprisingly, they're also incredibly delicious.
Ingredients: A box of red velvet cake mix, eggs, oil, water, butter and pancake syrup.
Direction:
1. Prepare cake mix as directed.
2. Heat griddle or frying pan.
3. Coat hot surface with a bit of oil.
4. Pour 1/3 cup of your batter onto the pan.
5. Flip once cooked on bottom side, as you would a pancake.
6. Remove from heat.
7. Stack, then butter and drizzle with syrup.
Just remember: For every door that is shut in your face, another is opened. Right? Or is it that a window is opened? Whatever. It's something comforting that our mothers used to tell us.
You get the idea.
