Those Aren't Snipers in Downtown Dallas. Those Are MMA Fighters Battling Zombies. (In a Movie.)
No need to fret over those snipers who've been setting up shop atop the Dallas Municipal Court building across from Main Street Garden Park these past few weeks.
They're not real. They're actors. Well, kind of.
Some of them are actors, including that one guy from the Fast and Furious franchise and that guy who wasn't Joey Fatone or John Corbett in My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Others are MMA fighters, including former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva. And together, this motley crew is the cast behind a new Dallas-filmed zombie movie called Daylight's End. Because of course that's what's being filmed.
In all fairness, Downtown Dallas isn't the worst place to survive the zombie apocalypse — a subject we've already discussed here on this site. Those underground tunnels could work in a pinch.
Still, it's tough not to wonder why this is the stuff that gets filmed in Dallas, when an AMC-approved, Dallas-set series is being shot in Atlanta.
(Hat tip to r/Dallas for the image and the sleuthing.)
