Ben & Skin Return to Dallas Sports Radio, Take Over Drive Time Slot at 105.3 The Fan.
Ben Rogers and Jeff “Skin” Wade first broke the news themselves this afternoon on their personal Twitter accounts. But, just now, they popped back up on the radio and confirmed it: “The Ben & Skin Show” will return to the local sports talk radio landscape on Monday, when the hosts return to their former home at KRLD 105.3-FM The Fan to take over the station's afternoon drive slot from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. each weekday.
The twosome's show will fill the void formed when Richie Whitt and Greggo Williams' “Richie and Greggo Extravaganza” or “RAGE” was abruptly canceled from the CBS-owned station's lineup in mid-April.
Interestingly, Rogers and Wade's old show on The Fan, you may recall, was actually in this same time slot they're now returning to. But the hosts, thrust into that role just three months into their professional radio careers, left that slot in 2009 to pursue a mid-morning position at KESN 103.3-FM ESPN, which they'd held onto for the past two-plus years before bolting from that station under a shroud of mystery in February of this year. Now with more experience under belt, the twosome will be returning to drive time and they'll be doing so back with The Fan.
Joining Wade and Rogers will be producers Brendan Smith, formerly of ESPN, and Kevin Turner, formerly of KTCK 1310-AM The Ticket's Team Havin' Fun.
Also, we told you so.
