We Scoured The Google And Yelp Pages For Various Dallas Restaurants And Bars. Here Are The Most Chaotic And Perplexing One Star Reviews.
One of life’s simplest pleasures is going down a rabbit hole of bad reviews for local bars and restaurants. The pleasure increases tenfold if you ever worked in the service industry. We set out on a mission to see why people were hating on some of Dallas’ favorite spots and, as expected, there were some pretty unhinged reviews.
It has to be said that there were many examples of genuine fuckery happening at certain spots, the most reoccurring concern being racial profiling. Bottled Blonde consistently tops the list of the highest-selling bars in the city, yet its negative reviews are overwhelmed with people giving their accounts of discrimination they faced. For example, instances of non-white guests being denied entry for not following the dress code despite white guests wearing the same type of clothes and getting in. It’s not just Bottled Blonde, many other establishments have the same type of reviews. Not cool at all.
However, that’s a story for another day, one that requires time and care.
Today, we’re just having a quick laugh at the creativity, or just straight-up delusion, of local reviewers that prove no matter how good your establishment is, you truly cannot please everyone.
