[Video] The Ice Wasn't So Bad, Maybe. But The Melting Was.
The weather warmed up slightly yesterday — to just above freezing — and brought with it an end to the dreaded Dallas Icepocalypse of '13.
But that end may have brought something worse — Meltnado 2013, maybe? I'm not sold on the name.
Still, you have to check out a couple of must-see, harrowing videos of the rising temperatures in Plano heating up the rooftops of the apartments at the Shops at Legacy — and the destruction that followed when the ice nestling up there warmed just enough to slide off of their perches and down onto the streets below.
The resulting visuals will drop your jaw.
To answer your question: No, the cars at the bottom of the fall didn't fare so well, as the cover image for this posting shows.
Bonus Video!
No way to be fully sure if the below video is actual footage of a man ice skating on a Dallas street this past weekend, but it purports itself to be, it architecturally looks as if it could be, and, let's be real, it's fun to believe that it is. Far more charming than the above videos, anyhow.
