Sprinkles Announces Plans To Open a Cupcake ATM in Dallas.

In the world of cupcakes, Sprinkles is kind of a big deal.

The sugary company, after all, is a nationwide chain with constantly busy locations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington D.C., Houston, San Francisco, San Diego, Phoenix and, yes, right here in Dallas, over off Preston Road.

To date, though, the company's only had one cupcake ATM to its name — out by its flagship Beverly Hills location. It's pretty much exactly what it sounds like: an ATM that dispenses cupcakes instead of cash.

This fall, though, Dallasites will too be able to indulge these gluttonous transactions. The company recently announced that it will open its second cupcake ATM right here in Dallas, right next to its Preston Center location.

The company will also be opening a third cupcake ATM in its Georgetown location in Washington, D.C.

Sounds kinda fun, right?

Well, turns out the ATM's more than just a novelty transaction. Unlike the Sprinkles store offerings, the ATM will work 24 hours a day, and, as opposed to the in-store cupcakes, which cost $5.25, the automated teller ones will be cheaper, costing only $4 a cupcake.

So, um, there you go. Indulge, Dallas.
