Nobody Pie-Fights Like You Do, Dallas.

History was made last night as the circus officially arrived in Dallas.

Hundreds of area children and adults and adults that act like children teamed up with the clowns of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus outside of the American Airlines Center last night to attempt to break the previously standing record of 684 people participating in a shaving cream pie fight for a full minute.

It was a pretty glorious event.

As Victory Plaza began to fill with participants, Mesquite Christian rockers The Afters performed and a few clowns started showing off their tricks. There was also face painting, snow cones, a coloring book station and plenty of photo opps.

Then, at around 8 o'clock, the countdown began and the shaving cream began to fly.

Sixty seconds later, the Guinness world record for biggest shaving cream pie fight ever had been broken. Dallas had topped the previous record by 30, with 714 pie-fighters participating in the shenanigans.

It was a truly historic night.
