Scenes From Last Night's Dirty Heads, Pepper and Aer Show at the South Side Ballroom.

Never underestimate the power of solid vibes, brah. There might not be anything stronger — in the whole world, even.

And the vibes were vibin' on the real last night as reggae-rap outfits Aer, Pepper and The Dirty Heads rolled through Dallas for a fittingly summer-slotted date at the South Side Ballroom.

It was a happy, chilled-out time, to be sure, with the bass turned up, the breezy vibes ever-present and the smoke in the air ever-present and impossible to avoid. There was dancing, too — much of it bad, granted — but none of the tank-clad atteddees seemed to mind.

Last night's show wasn't so much about judging, no. It was about getting along.
