Burning Hotels Announce West Coast Tour, Release New Remix From Shuttle.
The fellas in Burning Hotels had themselves a fine end to 2011. A universally praised, self-titled, sophomore full-length release will do that.
But, hey, 2012 hasn't been too shabby for the Fort Worth outfit, either. The band has capitalized on their local adoration, scoring choice gig after choice gig around town oof late. And the cushy gigs are only set to continue in the coming weeks — first on Friday night as the band opens for What Made Milwaukee Famous at Trees and then along the west coast as the band hits the road for a string of shows that include a Los Angeles gig alongside fellow North Texan Sarah Jaffe.
Before the band sets sail, though, they've decided to offer area fans one more treat: Today, the band posted a new, fairly dark and spaced-out remix of their otherwise sunny “Always” track courtesy of fellow North Texan Shuttle, who himself recently hit the road to pick up his duties as the drummer for Passion Pit.
It's the first of many collaborative efforts fans can expect from Burning Hotels in the near future, as the group also plans on releasing a joint effort with local rap outfit A.Dd+ later this summer. And all that, Taccording the the band's SoundCloud page, comes in addition to a string of upcoming EP releases the band is currently completely for release in the coming months.
