Speaking of impressive area music collaborations: In advance of this weekend's Index Festival in Deep Ellum, we're proud to present an exclusive, free download of Ishi's remix take on Air Review's “Animal.” Grab it below.

Already arguably the most electronic offering on Air Review's gorgeously intricate, earlier-this-year-released Low Wishes LP — and, worth noting, one of our favorite area album releases of the year — the decidedly more danceable Ishi's take on the track gives it a new, more club-inspired feel and breezy sheen. Which is to say? Well, more or less, that this updated cut is exquisitely ready-made for soundtracking the slow-motion dancing going on at the climactic party scene of an indie film about the post-graduate malaise of twentysomethings. Or in far fewer words: It's rad.

And it comes with good timing, too: Air Review and Ishi will close out the Index Fest festivities on Saturday night at Trees, performing sets that sandwich an offering from Los Angeles' Big Black Delta.
