See The Greatest Show With Hugh Jackman, Save It For Rich The Kid at House Of Blues And Find Wade Bowen Out Of The Inconsistent Chaos. Plus more!
In case you’ve been living under a rock, everyone’s favorite Texas-owned burger chain was sold to a bank in Chicago this week.
Until now, Whataburger has been family-owned for the last 69 years (nice) since opening in 1950. And while the San-Antonio-based company has reassured its fans that it “will always be texan,” some people took to twitter in disappointment with claims that the home of the honey butter chicken biscuit was selling out. JJ Watt even (presumably as a joke) suggested texans coming together to buy it back. And to add kolaches to the menu?
Although it’s the end of an era, we aren’t worried. In fact, much like Austin’s El Arroyo, we’re pretty sure Chicago knows better than to mess with Texas.
