But we think there’s a flaw in that study. For one thing, it doesn’t put enough weight on how happy Dallasites are. And it specifically totally disregards CT readers, who are among the most happy lot, given how easy it is for them to find joyful ways to spend each and every evening of the week.

Yesterday marked exactly two years since founding guitarist Chris Walla played his last show with Death Cab, though the band has pressed on. To his credit, his shoes have proved large to fill, with the band adding a pair of touring members to its ranks — keyboard/guitarists Dave Depper and Zac Rae — to cover his parts. Perhaps even more worth your time tonight is the exceptional opening act Bully.

Bad Boy Family Reunion at American Airlines Center
It’s been damn near 20 years since Biggie was murdered by a still-identified assailant. And now Puffy (or Diddy or whichever is Sean Combs’ current moniker) is putting his labels old roster back together for a reunion tour. Joining him are Ma$e, Lil Kim, DMX, Faith Evans, Mario Winans, Total, Carl Thomas, 112 and the L.O.X., who have about 50 hit singles between them.

The Crawling Dead Pub Crawl in Deep Ellum
This month’s edition of the costumed/themed pub crawl gets zombified all Walking Dead style. It meets up at Wits End at 8:30, and continue to neighborhood spots Brick & Bones, High & Tight and Twilite Lounge after that.
