Late last week, Weezer announced that its fourth self-titled album — the White Album, as it will henceforth be known colloquially — will earn its release on April 1. This is not a joke.

It should make for some interesting fodder for Season 2 of the web series The Undone Sweaters. The show centers around the titular band and all the humorous exploits that come with trudging around New York as Brooklyn's second-best Weezer cover act. This is not a joke, either.

In the wake of yesterday's Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday, we can't help but wonder what Dr. King would think of our generation. Would he be happy about the huge steps forward that we've made in regards to equal rights for minorities, women and same-sex couples? Or would he point to stories like the lack of diversity in this year's Oscar nominations as an indicator that we've still got a ways to go before his “dream” is fully realized? Breaking Benjamin Unplugged at House of Blues
After a four-year hiatus, Breaking Benjamin released a hard-rocking, post-punk LP, its first with its new lineup. After headlining The Eagle's BFD fest last summer, the band returns with a new, stripped back set. Starset opens. — CG

Selma at Alamo Drafthouse
This happens to be one of the most important films of 2015. It's a biopic on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., his dream and his timeless march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama. It was universally praised, and the observance of what would have been his 87th birthday is a fitting time to give it another watch. — Chase Whale

Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo at Will Rogers Coliseum
Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo that started up in 1896. It's since become the world's oldest continual running rodeo. That event's Cowtown Coliseum (called The Northside Coliseum when it was built in 1908) was also the world's first indoor rodeo. It's here again, and runs through February 6. — CG
