After Publicly Acknowledging A.Dd+'s Break-Up, Paris P Releases Slim Gravy Diss Track.

In the wee hours of the morning, Vince Chapa, A.Dd+'s manager, sent along this statement to members of the media:

“We have all seen this movie many times. Groups go through ups and downs. Arguments, fights, even breakups are to be expected when two creative and passionate people create and build something as special as A.Dd+. This isn't the first time Slim and Paris have “broken up”. Long-lingering personal issues are to blame.

As a company, we still represent A.Dd+ and leave the door open for when wounds are healed. We have an incredible new A.Dd+ project entitled NAWF AMERICA and fully intend on releasing it to their fans very soon.”

This email came in response to the news that the celebrated duo has broken up. It's all pretty sad.

Now, though, it's becoming a spectacle: In the next chapter of the break-up heard 'round the Dallas rap world, Paris Pershun has released a track in which he disses his old A.Dd+ cohort, Slim Gravy. The song is dubbed a remix of “Flow River,” a track from Rikki Blu's stellar Pleasant Grove EP. About halfway in, Paris pops up and airs out even more of his grievances than he has already on Twitter: “Me addressing the rumors might upset the consumers / Came a long way, shit, I thought you was a true one,” he raps at one point before sending a cutting diss toward the end of the track, twice slamming Slim's solo efforts by name: “Fuck GHETTODSKO, that shit corny, you heard / Stop reaching you see it, just be it I heard.”

It's a bit of a shame, but also kinda fire. C'est la vie, I guess. Maybe one day hell will freeze over.
