After missing the podcast last week to take separate vacations, Jake and I return to the fold this week, armed with some pretty decent stories. So that's this week's focus — cool, interesting and/or funny shit that happened while I was in DC and Jake was in Belize.

Me? I got some very tough medical news while away and I try to cope with that by telling you all about that. I also saw the Penn State Bro out in the wild and have a nature report to share. Plus, I may or may not have seen Cal Ripken Jr., I think? Oh, and it turns out that Abe Lincoln was way more ordinary than history remembers, and I’m willing to put him on blast for that.

As for Jake? He hit up the second leg on his lifelong Caribbean Tour (he went to Costa Rica in 2011, which we talked about on Episode 74), traveling to two destinations in Belize. He plumbed the Blue Hole, hiked Mayan ruins and gambled on chicken defecation.
