For a long time, I've been wanting to get Manny Velasquez on the podcast to share with us his passion for the movies.
He takes it farther than most of the rest of us do: He grew up in Dallas, but these days, he's an actor living in L.A. Still, he makes it back to Dallas every once in awhile and, on his most recent visit home, I asked that he join me for a podcast recording.
With Halloween coming up, we decided to talk on something a little more on the spooky side of the spectrum. We eventually settled on the 2009 horror-tinged sci-fi adventure Pandorum a movie Manny had seen previously, but that I was not real familiar with it. It's a very solid movie, though, and we had a good time talking about why.
Also, the movie Prometheus came up, and I'm always happy to talk about that one.
