Premiere: Check Out Koolquise's Newest Single, Cupid's Handgun.

When we last heard from Team From Nowhere's Koolquise back in the spring, the 26-year-old born Marquise Warren teased to us his still-forthcoming Love Lost in [Translation] EP with a loosie track called “Focus,” and a promise that this new collection was both “thought-provoking” and “very jazzy.”

But it was very much a tease, to be honest: “Focus” checked in at just 97 seconds long.

Now, Koolquise is fortunately checking back in with a more substantial taste. His second Love Lost in [Translation] loosie, called “Cupid's Handgun,” checks in at a robust-by-comparison 3 minutes and 28 seconds.

Here's how Koolquise describes the song: “I created the track because I was dealing with a breakup that put me in an awkward place. So I began questioning that place and myself, which is why, if you listen to the song, I'm questioning if the young lady I seem to have fallen for is even real.”

The ethereal, sample-based production courtesy of David Straange on the track certainly seems to back up that hazy headspace aesthetic. Below, we're honored to give the track from the increasingly compelling Koolquise its exclusive premiere.

Give it a listen. Then keep an eye out, as Koolquise says he expects Love Lost in [Translation] to drop some time between now and early December.
