This week's episode opens with a delightfully meandering tale that reveals the mysterious quirks of our earthly existence.
But that's just an appetizer to the NWA-themed main course of our chat. Jake and I both saw Straight Outta Compton over its opening weekend in theaters, and we definitely have some thoughts on it. Our main point of contention? That Jerry Heller was ultimately the key to the group's success.
From there, we nerd out some in traditional IJB-style on some new baseball research. There's a cool new way to evaluate pitchers, and I think it should make a pitching coach's job way easier. Baseball also has some things to tell us about the working of the human mind.
Overall, this was a pretty fun episode to record. I hope you have as much fun listening to it as we did making it. — TC Fleming
