Since 2003, The Protomen have been creating concept albums based off of the Mega Man video games, something that's garnered them a loyal cult following among video game enthusiasts. It actually makes sense that bands would be inspired by the themes in video games, since they usually deal with struggle, redemption and trying over and over again. Hovvdy, Bent Denim at The Lion's Den
We're nearing the end of summer and it's only gotten warmer. To further embrace those feelings, Austin by way of New Orleans “sad-pop” outfit Hovvdy is hitting the road. In celebration of a new split on Austin lo-fi label, Merdurhaus Records, the band's playing Denton's favorite basement hang, The Lion's Den. It's sure to be a sweaty mess with tourmates Bent Denim along with Denton's No Touching, which has a new EP of their own. So bring a donation or two. — Evan Henry

Kim Russo claims to have been aware of spirits since she was a young girl. If you believe this, you can pay between 30 and 50 bucks to get a reading from her or watch her talk about ghosts.
