Dora Gets Funkier With Age.
Name: Dora Chu.
Age: “It's a well-kept secret.”
Occupation: “I am a stylist and [I'm] becoming a character for entertainment.”
Found: Far North Dallas.
Describe your style: “Eclectic hodgepodge.”
What are you wearing? “This is an American Apparel hat that I picked up secondhand. My vest is a Jean Paul Gaultier, and my belt is Louis Vuitton. I got the La Pearla vest — they're famous for their underwears, but they make beautiful clothes, too. The tool skirt is from BCBG from Buffalo Exchange. It gives such a fun look! My sandals are Ann Demeulemeester. My socks are from Nordstrom. I got the vintage bracelet and my favorite vintage watch from Gratitude years ago. My bag is Balenciaga.”
Where do you get your sense of inspiration? “I've worked with so many women on how to dress that I spot visual pieces just putting together pieces to express who I am. And I've just discovered that, As I've gotten older, I really have a funky style! I don't have to be conservative or classic like everybody else. I can just be myself. I really think that, when women are comfortable with who they are inside, they can dress to express that — no matter what.”
