At the start of this week's podcast, Jake stakes out his God-given right to talk politics, then utilizes that same chit to offer up some gun control thoughts he's been having in light of the Lafayette shooting. Long story short: He feels the system set up to maintain the status quo is too robust for change to occur. Me? I feel that the status quo exists because of a few cunning individuals, which is to say that it stands as proof the wind can change at any time.

From there, given that it's just about talk-football-every-week time, we wade into Chip Kelly waters. Turns out the Philadelphia Eagles coach has an ex-wife no one knew about! Dude is an enigma, truly.

Speaking of fascinating things: We also speak this week about the coming animal revolution. Why? Because animals that were previously reluctant to attack humans now seem to be changing their minds with startling regularity.
