Have A Little Faith.

Recently, Sony won a bidding war for the rights to make a movie centering around emojis. Boy, that sure sounds riveting. It's just more proof that Hollywood has genuinely run out of ideas.

Fortunately, we don't have that same problem. Even on slower nights, we can still pull out a few ideas for ways to spend your evening. It's a gift. — Cory Graves

Faith No More at South Side Ballroom
After a two-year break, Faith No More reunited last July, and released its first new studio album since 1997's Album of the Year. With the band's renewed spirit, expect this one to be quite epic. — Diamond Victoria

An Evening With Ernest Cline at Alamo Drafthouse (Sold Out)
Novelist (Ready Player One) and screenwriter (Fanboys), Ernest Cline, is dropping by the Drafthouse for an evening of discussion centering around his latest book, Armada. Afterwards he'll be taking questions from the audience, a couple of which are likely to revolve around the fact that Steven Spielberg is currently in the process of turning his debut novel into a major motion picture. This one is free, though it appears that all the seating has been reserved in advance. Looks like its Game Over. — CG

Poor Man's Beer Dinner at The Common Table
Starting at 6 p.m., every Monday night, the Common Table is home to the “Pour Man's Beer Dinner” where the not-really-that-poor Dallasite can grip a four-course meal paired with a four-beer flight for $29 a head. Even better? The menu and featured brewery is different with every week. — Evan Henry

Outward Bound Mixtape Sessions at Crown and Harp (Free)
This regular Monday night event promises to be anything but regular. Curated by the always cutting edge Stefan Gonzalez, Dallas' best, if not most interesting drummer, these pretty-much-weekly events tend to host some of the most challenging and “out there” performers in town. You may love what you hear, or you may hate it. Either way you absolutely won't find it boring. — CG
