Son Lux at Dada
Famously known as Son Lux, Ryan Lott has been making experimental art under the moniker since his 2008 debut, At War With Walls & Mazes. Though, as of late, his new album Bones, which was just released via Glassnote, finds Lott exploring more orchestrated material. New York's Landlady opens. — Evan Henry

Judas Priest at Verizon Theatre
Who is the greatest metal band of all time? Sabbath? Iron Maiden? For a lot of folks, the answer is hands-down Judas Priest. Wait, why are all these bands British? We digress. Rob Halford and Co. make a strong argument for that title, in that so many other contenders started their own careers as Priest cover bands. We're looking at you, Slayer. Anyhow, the legends perform tonight in support of its 17th studio album, last summer's Redeemer of Souls, which was the band's highest charting effort to date. — CG

Once a month, Flower Mound-based anime powerhouse Funimation hosts screenings at nearby Alamo Drafthouse. Tonight, they'll screen Kenji Kamiyama's 009 Re:Cyborg. Don't worry; they've dubbed it in English for you. — CG

This regular Monday night event promises to be anything but regular. Curated by the always cutting edge Stefan Gonzalez, Dallas' best, if not most interesting drummer, these pretty-much-weekly events tend to host some of the most challenging and “out there” performers in town. You may love what you hear, or you may hate it. Either way you absolutely won't find it boring. — CG
