Take Out The Trash.

A few days ago, Instagram decided to get with the times, upgrading its system to begin storing images at 1080 x 1080. It's quite an improvement over the original 640 x 640 size.

While the new, higher resolution photos aren't available through the app yet, they can be accessed when accessing Instagram via the web. And, in the near future, when the app is updated, they should be there, too.

Meaning? The pics you take of yourself doing awesome shit now look twice as cool. That in mind, here's a few places to start taking advantage of the news this evening. — Cory Graves

Tuesday Night Trash: Slaughterhouse Rock at Texas Theatre (Free)
Once gracing the horror section in nearly every mom-n-pop video store in America was 1988 slasher classic Slaughterhouse Rock. As part of the theatre's monthly Tuesday Night Trash screenings, the orchestrated mess appears once again on the silver screen. Best part is, it's free. Just worry about not scaring off your date the film takes one to Alcatraz and back in search demonic release. — Evan Henry

Casino Royale at Alamo Drafthouse
This ain't your daddy's Bond flick. In his first portrayal of the iconic 007, Daniel Craig and Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes' (American Beauty, Road to Perdition) take on the now 50-year-old franchise is that of a tortured, flawed hero with a chip on his shoulder and a bullet in it to boot. When in doubt, always bet on Bond. — James Wallace

Saint Arnold Bishop's Barrel Flight Night at The Libertine
Houston's Saint Arnold Brewery is now 10 beers deep into its series of special, one-off barrel-aged brews. Tonight, The Libertine is offering up flights that will feature 4-ounce servings of beers No. 1 through 6 in the series. Supplies are limited, though, so they're asking that you call ahead to reserve a flight. Once you do, you can drink it anytime today between the hours of 6 p.m. and midnight. — CG

Filling the early week void at Deep Ellum's most punk bar is a weekly experiment of R&B and hip-hop brought on by locals Colab and Friday's Foolery. There's no cover, and drink specials last all night. — EH
