Nobody's perfect. You needn't much more than a clip stockpiling '80s and '90s news anchor bloopers to tell you that much. But if these live reports in question did go as planned, is there any chance we're still talking about them 30 years later? Probably not.

Peach Kelli Pop at Three Links
While drumming for Canada's pop punk trio White Wires, Allie Hanlon decided to create a side project for her solo songs, and thus Peach Kelli Pop was born. With three completed albums, the latest Peach Kelli Pop III released this past Tuesday. It's a progressive blend of bubblegum punk that can only really be described as fun. Local punk outfits Sealion and Fungi Girls know a thing or two about that as well. — Lauren Rushing

Tigers Jaw at Trees
When three-fifths of Tigers Jaw walked last year, a good many folks thought it was the end for the Scranton, PA-based pop punk outfit. Alas, the remaining pair pressed on as a duo, pushing in a more emo direction with the help of a trio of touring musicians. The show must go on, indeed. Lemuria and Somos open. — CG

Child's Play at Alamo Drafthouse
To ring in this coming weekend's Texas Frightmare festivities, the Alamo Drafthouse is showing classic horror flicks all week. Tonight's screening is 1988's Child's Play, the only film brave enough at the time to satirically point out just how creepy those My Buddy commercials were. — CG

Sugarfoote and Co. at Adair's Saloon
The beer-swilling, good-timing country and folk tunes Cody Foote and his pals crank out during their Monday night residency has been a longtime favorite of Deep Ellumites and service industry folks alike. After a couple $8 pitchers and a famous Adair's burger even the strictest nine-to-fivers might think about calling in and taking off Tuesday morning as well. — CG
