We Think You Should Totally Come Party With Us At The Double Wide Tomorrow Night.

When a handful of us Day One CT staffers decided to leave our old writing gigs behind at the end of 2011 to launch this crazy, side-scrolling culture site, we honestly had no idea how long we'd last or whether we'd still be doing this thing even one year later.

Hence, four months into our existence we decided to throw ourselves an anniversary party at the Double Wide. It was to our extreme delight — and, hey, maybe a little bit of a surprise, too, if we're really being honest — that so many of you decided to come party with us then. It was really sweet of you guys to oblige our request to show up to the party in jorts, too.

And then two months later at our six-month anniversary bash? You guys once again humored us, showing up en masse in ridiculous yacht rock-inspired get-ups.

The point is, pretty much from the jump, you guys have made us feel loved. It's a feeling that's only been reinforced every single time we've thrown one of these things.

Not to be overly sappy or sentimental here, but the feeling is definitely mutual.

We just really love is partying you guys. And if you'd be so kind, we'd really like to party with you again tomorrow night at Double Wide.

It should be a pretty fun time, to say the least, with excellent local artists Blue, the Misfit, Dark Rooms, Sudie and Brandon Fxrd performing in the venue for just $3. Otherwise, it won't cost a thing if you just want to come out hang out. Maybe we can share a drink together, too? That's cool with us, as well. (Remember: Our favorite shots are Jamesons.)

Or, hey, even if you don't drink, that's cool too. We just like seeing your pretty faces.

Seriously: You guys are why we do this thing in the first place.

Here's hope we'll see you tomorrow night, then, yeah?
