Moore Twisted Berries' Vodka-Infused Chocolate Strawberries Will Floor Your Valentine.

This Valentine's Day, forget Godiva. You never know what you're getting with those chocolates, anyway. Plus, half of them taste like crap.

Really: Does anyone actually like cherry-filled chocolates? Sure, the well-known chocolatier also offers up chocolate-covered strawberries, but they're expensive as hell ($42 for a half dozen). Oh, and they're super basic, too.

Eff that noise. Instead, check out these dope-ass chocolate-covered strawberries from Moore Twisted Berries. They're ridiculously pretty — just look at that detail! — and they're vodka-infused. Another plus? They're from Dallas' very own Traci Moore.

“If you look at the other people who do berries, they don't even do what I do,” says Moore. “They don't have the design. They don't do the color or the customization. They don't offer that. I mean, tell me where you can get that. You can't.”

Now, Moore doesn't deliver, but you can pick up some strawberries from her house in Oak Lawn. And, honestly, even if you're somewhere far off in North Texas, you will not be disappointed. They are definitely worth the drive. And you'll enjoy Moore's hospitality: First thing she'll do when you arrive, most likely, is offer you a drink. She had plenty of vodka, cranberry juice and more on hand during our visit.

On Facebook, Moore encourages customers to order now for Valentine's Day, because spots are filling up. But don't worry: She says she can handle as many orders as she receives. However, she does want to know about how many strawberries she should buy in preparation. So time is a little bit of the essence. And while Moore says she plans on having some extra fruit on hand to fill last-minute orders, it's best to place your order at least three days in advance of your pickup time. Besides, she tacks on an additional $10 to same-day orders, anyway.

You can order Moore's berries by the half dozen or by the dozen. According to Moore's posts on Facebook, a dozen shouldn't run you more than $55 — unless, perhaps, you want to add your own choice of liquor, or maybe some other add-ons like nuts. She quoted us a different, lower price in person, for what that's worth. And she says that if you mention that you discovered her from this article, she'll give you a sweeter deal.
