Scenes From Last Night's Sold-Out PARTYNEXTDOOR Show at Trees.

He's from Toronto, he's a little mysterious, he proffers a drugged-out brand of electronic-tinged R&B and he's cosigned by Drake. It's little wonder that PARYTNEXTDOOR's been battling The Weeknd comparisons since bursting onto the blog-hype circuit last summer: Their origin stories are almost laughably identical.

Before a sold-out, reverent audience last night at Trees, however, the 21-year-old performer born Jahron Anthony Brathwaite did his best to prove himself an artist capable of standing on his own feet. And with a set that saw fans clamoring at the chance to simply touch him and also saw the artist himself pulling one fan on stage for a little public flirtation, he was able to do just that. In turn, the party was very much right there.
